NATURALIZATION
The following persons can apply for the Panamanian citizenship by naturalization:
- Aliens with 5 consecutive years of residency in the territory of the Republic of Panama
- Aliens with 3 consecutive years of residency in the territory of the Republic who have children born in Panama whose father or mother is Panamanian or a Panamanian spouse
- Also the nationals by birth from Spain or a Latin American State, if they fulfill the same requirements that their country or origin demands from Panamanians for naturalization.
